Animals...

and I'm not talking about the 2 legged kind!

It's funny how quickly that we become attached to our pets. When they do good, we praise them as we would our child. When they fall ill, we baby them as we would our child.

When one goes to the big dog house in the sky....we mourn as if it were a family member. In reality, they are family. They just never stop walking on all 4 legs.

Please keep our Ottomaniac family member Vonna and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She's laying her lil' Peyton down to sleep today and it's pretty tough on her whole family. :o(

I'm sure that when she gets back on here, she'll write a fitting tribute to her furry friend.

Thank you....

for the comments, he meant the world to me and my kids....We miss him so....

Awwww....

Vonna, that is absolutely beautiful. I bet this was very hard for you to do, so thank you very much for sharing it with us. My thoughts and prayers are still out to you and your family.

My Sunset is Blue..............

My Sunset is Blue…
In Memoriam of Peyton Manning Jr.

A hint of blue sparkles in his eye
He’s full of energy and exploding with love
Tug-O-War is his favorite game
Brushing his long, beautiful coat
Sets his bones quivering in bliss
He closes his eyes and
Snuggles
Close as he possibly can
Stealing kisses under the radar
Like a stealth fighter
He licks my face and hands and
Gets me
Giggling uncontrollably
He woofs at me gently,
Questioning
His heart in his eyes
Do you love me as much as I love you?
Of course, he knows
Unconditionally
Bounding towards me with joy
He leaps up and tags me
I’m it!
He chooses me
Wiggling his body
Like a whirling tornado
Pure devotion, loyalty
Wrapped in a blanket of black, gray, tan and white
Splashed with Sunset Blue……

Loss

I am so sorry for Vonna's family at the loss of their beloved pet. I know personally the sorrow and heartache that each of you are experiencing and know that with time you will feel joy again. Please find the Rainbow Bridge poem on line when you get a chance and read its words for comfort.

Thinking of you

My thoughts are with you and your family. It is never an easy thing to do.

Pets

I am so sorry for Vonna's lost. I also lost two pets a couple of years ago. The 1st was a Lhasa Alpso that I had for over eleven years. The last year of her life she had diabetes and had gone blind. I had taken care of her giving her two shots of insulin in a day until she became ill and died. It was just like losing a family member when she past on. I cried for weeks the house felt empty and I missed the love that she gave me each and every day. The second a chow mix we had for over thirteen years she just died in her sleep. This was my husbands baby and we mourned both of them. I found that putting a solar light in the back yard next to where we layed them to rest was a way to release the hurt. Every night when the light shines I think of them and remember the love that they gave us. I will keep Vonna and her family in my thoughts and prayers and I know that we do not know each other but I will be here if you need to talk.

God Bless,
Patti
