I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to sound mean, but you read my mind perfectly about them Loaded Questions and the ones that are on your mind have been on mine as well too. (smiles)

I LOVE hearing James sing "I Can't Love You Anymore" and "In Color" and would love for them songs to be a part of an album with his name on it and hearing James sing Christmas songs would definitely be music to my ears and so would a duet with any of my other favorite singers: Alison Krauss, LeAnn Rimes, Tanya Tucker, Trace Adkins, Darryl Worley, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and Hal Ketchum. (smiles)

The Opry mall is what comes to me too when I watch both editions of the Loaded Questions. Even though the questions asked are strange ones, I do love to watch James answer them! I especially love that look of guilt on his face after we see him admit to paying almost $1,500 for boots, just before his laugh. (smiles)

As for Ashton Shepherd, I wasn't trying to be mean when bringing her up, but since everyone here is giving their two cents about her, here is mine. She is pretty, traditional country, and a good songwriter, but honestly to me she is a "Make it stop!" kind of singer! I am so sorry that what I think of her differs from what the rest of y'all think of her, but I have gotten light headed a few times listening to her as if I was going to keel over. The other times I would just be trying my hardest not to cry. she is that bad to me. I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound so harsh, but this is just how I feel about how she sounds. (shaking hard)

Can I say anything nice about her voice? Yes. I can honestly say that she does NOT sound like fingers on a black board. (smiles)

I got to see Ashton perform in person this summer and she was really good -- I really enjoyed her a lot! I do love her voice. And since she's from Alabama, she even sang "Sweet Home Alabama"....loved it! I got to meet her too, she was very nice.

I'll agree with Ashton being very talented. I don't like another up and coming artist, but I'll be dipped if I don't sit and sing all her songs! I admire their writing talents. Back to Ashton, she's a little too country for me, but the Jamey Johnson CD that I just bought is VERY country!

I must respond about "that Ashton Shepherd girl". Ashton Shepherd is a very talented young lady, she has written or co-wrote ALL of her songs on her debut album, and they are so country that country in the Webster's could have ashton shepherd as part of the defining description; she works on a farm in Alabama (or did prior to stardom) and has a 3 year old son. so let's please not use this post to downplay any other stars out there; there are ALOT of good ones, we Ottomaniacs are here on this site because we respect and love James' music and style so very much. (some I guess we could say even worship LOL ;) As for me, I can't wait to see Ashton perform in person and experience that southern drawl enumerating from her voice, and oh my goodness, how fun it must be to visit the Pickin' Shed. (party, music and beer, oh my)

We will definately have our pink shirts on and plan to have a big sign so he can't miss us!!!!! Both me & Countryjunkie were at Taste of Country in June and at the Erie County Fair in August, although we haven't met in person yet! James absolutely ROCKS!! Everyone around here says they are going to see Alan Jackson & Trace Adkins - well, I say I am going to see James Otto and oh, yeah, Alan & Trace will be there too!!!!!!!! We are hoping to get a backstage pass by bugging the heck out of the radio station - even if we don't, we will have promoted James every day here in Buffalo!! The concert is right after the CMA awards - hoping we get to see James as a CMA winner...!

Honestly, I have never felt worthy enough to be labeled an Ottomaniac. Maybe it is because I have never really been a part of a group before so this is kind of a new thing for me, plus I am a little hard on myself anyways. I just love James so much and I want to learn all that I am allowed to know about him and every day I look for the latest news about him whenever there is any. Is it okay for me to say that the beautiful sweet hearted teddy bear is the whole package? If not, I will try my hardest not to say that again. (smiles)
