I am new to the James Otto site but since i have found it i have went to CMT and voted for James every day. I have yet to see James in concert but I am looking forward to doing that very soon i hope!

If it had been me in that situation, I would have said to that dude, "You trash my most favorite singer right to my face right after your learning of him being my most favorite and then you expect me to shut him off because you don't like him? I DON'T THINK SO, DUDE!!!"
Then I would have turned James up even louder as long as I was allowed to. (big smile)

I agree...compared to Elvis, never heard that one before. You should have said, "well, alot of us think that he sounds like Conway, do you know who he is? When you learn a little bit about country music, I'll have a conversation with you, until then, thank you for your opinion. Opinions are like a$$holes and apparently you are one!".

Preach it! I was so mad I was seeing red. But I knew I had to watch what I said to him cause I could have lost my job. Bobby (our "runner here at the office) was starring at me the whole time. Bless his heart, I know he was hoping that I would'nt lose my cool. He knows how big of an OTTOMANIAC that I am. When that guy opened his mouth, he knew I would shut it!!! And I did!! I strongly believe the phrase "Treat others the way you want to be treated!" And if the roles were reversed he wouldn't want James talking about him like that (not that he ever would!) And I don't think that he has the right to talk about anyone when they are not around to defend for their selves. I know for A FACT if James heard that, he wouldn't have been as nice as I tried to be!

All I can say is GO GIRL, YOU ROCK!!! Last I knew this still is a free country, you can listen to whomever you wish to. As for Elvis, if James wanted to be another Elvis he would be working in Vegas with all the other wannabes. Frankly where the hell goes he get the comparison anyway?!? James is about as far from Elvis as a performer can get (that is just my opinion), believe me I have seen about every Elvis wannabe that ever existed and JAMES OTTO IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!

Ok, so here is my story. This just happened a few minutes ago and I thought that i was literally gonna blow up at this dude. We are talking about going POSTAL on somebody's butt!!! I'm at work and I'm sitting here listening to my "Sunset Man" CD and our FedEx guy walks in right....... Well I am assuming that he heard what I was listening to, he asked me if that is, and I quote, "That James Otto guy?" I said yeah, he amazing, ain't he? This guy came out of no where and said, "NO." "I think he is just another wanna-be Elvis." I said what he is better that Elvis in my opinion. He told me that he could find better music to listen to out there than this. He said he could find better music at the DOLLAR STORE!!!!! WHAT THE #@$&!!!! After that he asked me if I could turn off that "junk" while he was there making his delivery. I politely told him where he could shove his boxes, and if he didn't like MY KIND OF MUSIC he could leave........ Was that wrong of me????????

Blankets for St. Judes
Patti,
Thanks for the good wishes for the fundraiser & for Beth, although the outcome isn't looking too good right now. We sure can pray and hope for a miracle though. As for your comment about blankets for St. Jude's, maybe there are others besides you & me and we could all work on blankets. Since we are all here because of James and St. Jude's is special to him, I think it would be a great thing we could all do. Your thoughts?? And anyone else out there?

I also make the fleece blankets. I have also made them for friends that have had cancer. All but one are in remission,but one of my friend's sister died almost a year ago with cancer. I feel like the blankets give them something to cozy up to and I hope that it brings them some sort of comfort to get them through their diffilcult time. Everyone seems to like them. I thought about sending them to St. Judes Hospital but I know that I could not possibly make enough. Watching James with these children is amazing and it really touched my heart. I hope that your fund raiser goes well and that the person with the cancer goes into remission and lives a long a rewarding life. I will keep him in my prayers and hopefully a miracle will happen.

Blankets for a Cause
Hey Patti - What kind of blankets do you make? I was making fleece blankets Friday night with a friend of mine for a fund raiser we are going to next week for a 23 year old with brain cancer. Up until now I have never thought about just making them and donating to a worthy cause, but thanks to you I think I will do that here in Buffalo! Thanks for the great idea!

The Apprentice would be good! I loved watching Trace on it and I agree the he was robbed. I would still love to see James try to do some of the dance moves that they have to do on Dancing or maybe a judge on Nashville Star. By the way sorry Jennifer for confusing you with the other Jennifer but Happy Birthday anyway.

To be honest with you, I really can not see James doing the dance show! (laughing) I'm sorry! (smiles) I would love to see him do some of the game shows! (smiles) You got Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, the Pyramid if its still on that is, that Password game which is a hard one, and The Apprentice should it be done again, unless that chihuahua who beat Trace Adkins is on the show again. Trace was so robbed and I would hate to see James get the same treatment, but of course doing any of these shows is all up to him. (smiles)

I've been voting every day although I don't get CMT on my cable network. We have GAC and I just don't understand why "For You" is not on the top twenty count down yet. Hopefully it will be there soon. I believe he will be on Into The Circle Saturday night. I will have to record that. I watched him on DI again last night while I was making blankets. I hope to make at least ten blankets this holiday season and donate then to a worthy cause. Two years ago I made over twenty and donated them to vitims services and Bowers Rodgers Home(a home for abandoned and abused children). Last year due to my husband being in the hospital for 17 days and on IV meds at home for over six more weeks I could not afford to donate as many. I was able to donated three blankets and pencil and paper to the troops in Iraq to give to the children there. We have been so blessed to have good jobs and have the things that we need that I feel that I should give back and the blankets bring comfort to those in need. Well since the weather has seemed to cool off I will be making more blankets as I watch GAC at night. I would love to see James on Dancing with the Stars(you know he would get the votes from us Ottomaniacs)!

"For You" fell to #44 from #39 on the R&R chart this week and it fell to #42 on Mediabase! Is everyone requesting it???? James just blogged a couple of weeks ago and kindly asked us to be requesting the song because it was starting to gain traction -- and it was, but now it's losing again! James needs our help, there are quite a few new songs hitting the charts recently, so let's get out there and contact the radio stations!
