Who is responsible for the music we hear at the stadium and during broadcasts? I try to block out the ballpark din whenever possible, which comes with the territory when one's home team hitches its between-innings wagon to Cotton Eye Joe. I imagine each team and network employs a music coordinator of some sort. I've never given the issue much thought.

Recording Artist James Otto, whose debut album, Sunset Man, hits the streets tomorrow, recently recorded the theme song for the Atlanta Braves, “The Braves Play Here.” The theme song was composed and produced by 615 Music for client Peachtree TV, Turner Broadcasting Inc’s local television platform.

James Otto's album cover will be featured on the hood of Nationwide Series car 84 driven by Mark Harmon.
The car will be driven in the following races:
03/22/08 Pepsi 300 Nashville Superspeedway ESPN/2:30 p.m.
04/05/08 O'Reilly 300 Texas Motor Speedway ESPN2/2:30 p.m.
James has also been invited to play at the Sprint Cup Nascar pre-race show April 6th.
